3 John 11

Same scripture as Albert's.

Observation: John directed this letter to the elders of the church. He has stated the importance of doing good. Good deeds stem from God.

Application: This reminds me to not be tempted towards evil doings. FOr someone like me who has a relationship with God, I should naturally do good. I will apply this in daily life such as giving help to people generously, giving compliments and encouragements to people. I should put this philosophy into my work and do good to my patients. When I see someone doing good deeds, it's like me seeing God working on earth. How delightful life would be if I think like that!

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I demonstrate your presence in me by doing good in everyday life. I ask for opportunities to do good in people's lives. Keep me away from temptation. Open my eyes to see You around me whenever I see somebody else's good deeds. Thank you for a simple reminder.
